Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ And Beer Will Slam Down Food And Drink Specials For The Big Dance

Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer will drive basketball fans to the Excalibur Hotel & Casino for the highly anticipated tournament during basketball madness starting Thursday, March 15 through Sunday, March 18. For only $20 a day, fans can reserve a seat and catch all of the action on the restaurant’s high-definition flat panel screens.

During the tailgate party, guests will begin their day with breakfast items following a $5 happy hour with food specials including Pulled Pork Sandwiches, original or spicy Smoked Chicken Wings, Green Chile Queso and Chips and Original or Cheddar-Jalapeño sausage sandwiches.

Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer will offer a $9.99 lunch special that includes a choice of BBQ Beef Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Smoked Turkey Caesar Salad or Tossed Pulled Pork Salad with a small side. Five different “Pit Master” combinations, ranging from $18.99 to $24.99 per person, will be available during the madness which include several types of meat like the signature Brisket, Spare Ribs, Sausage Links and more, all served with a choice of two savory sides.

Sports fans will also enjoy $4 draft beers including Lynyrd Skynyrd Lager, Coors Light and PBR Shiner Bock, as well as $5 well drinks and house wine. The restaurant will offer basketball fanatics $15 domestic pitchers, $20 domestic buckets and $25 imported buckets.

Bracketology Reaches New Heights During ‘March Hoops’ At Fremont Street Experience – Celebrate College Basketball At The Month-Long Free Event

Join the Madness of March as Fremont Street Experience celebrates college basketball.  Sports fans are invited to take part in the month-long event, March Hoops, now through Wednesday, March 28.  Beginning March 13, the world’s largest NCAA bracket will be displayed on the 1,500-foot long Viva Vision screen, which will be updated daily throughout the NCAA tournament.

March Hoops at Fremont Street Experience features free entertainment every night with two sexy stage shows — Hardwood Hotties and Dream Team Divas by Face Productions — and the High Hoops Zone interactive area where guests can test their skills at 20-, 25- and 30-foot basketball hoops.

Hardwood Hotties is a high-energy show featuring dancers, singers and a silk act.  Songs like AC-DC’s “Shook Me All Night Long”, Katy Perry’s “Firework” and Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger” will surely get the crowd going. Dream Team Divas opens with the quintessential sports song “Lets Get Ready to Rumble” and then the singing and dance troupe will play some of a today’s top hits like Lady Gaga’s “Pokerface”, Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R” and Beyonce’s “Run the World” mixed with sports songs like Lil Bow Wow’s “Basketball” and “Na NA NA NA” (Hey Hey Good Bye.)  The entertainment schedule is as follows:

Caesars Palace Hosts Second Annual Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series

Forty tournaments in 20 days to celebrate the NCAA Tournament from March 14 – April 2

Caesars Palace announces the schedule for the second annual Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series in conjunction with the NCAA Tournament. Poker players of all skill levels 21 years of age or older are invited to join the daily events scheduled March 14 – April 2 and to watch the games in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere on more than 20 large-screen TVs. Basketball fanatics can compete for their share of thousands of dollars in prize money while catching every minute of the madness.

“We are excited to bring back the Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series to guests and locals,” said Andy Rich, director of poker operations at Caesars Palace and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. “This is the most exciting time of the year for college basketball, where any team has a shot at winning it all. Poker is also a game where anyone with a chip and a chair is a threat to take home the title. This is the ultimate place for sports fans and poker fans to come together to compete and show their skills.”

The Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series kicks off at noon on Wednesday, March 14 with a $130 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament. Tournament buy-ins range from $130 to the three-day $560 Championship Event which starts on Saturday, March 31. Special events are scheduled throughout the tournament offering many forms of poker including No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Six-Handed No Limit Hold’em, Heads Up and Double Stack Turbo. A seniors event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, March 30, with a buy-in of $130.

Please note that cash games and regular daily tournaments will still be occurring around the clock. Single table satellites for all events will run daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Caesars Palace Poker Room features a selection of the most popular poker games including Texas Hold’em, Stud and Omaha. With more than 14,000 square feet, including a 6,000-square-foot tournament area and 33 tournament tables, it is the largest poker room on the Strip. More than 20 large-screen high-definition TVs ornament the walls, along with original Leroy Neiman artwork and Neil Leifer photographs.  An extensive menu and dedicated cocktail service allow players to have food and beverage delivered directly to the tables during play.
